WE BELIEVE THAT EDUCATION IS KEY TO SUCCESS. LIVE LOVE ACHIEVES THIS THROUGH SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS, AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THAT INVOLVE TEACHING THE WORD OF GOD AND CREATIVITY.

Most primary schools that Live Love works with in the local communities of Lilongwe district are highly affected by high dropout rates which are influenced by several factors. These are child labor, early marriages and cultural practices. Gule Wankulu, as a cultural dance, takes away children from school since it is expected of them to be initiated at an early stage. Traditional practices lead to early marriages causing, most girls to lose interest in school. For child labor, both boys and girls leave school and work as domestic servants or piece work due to poverty at home.

With these factors in mind, one can see that the future of these young men and women are not promising. However, one of the goals that the organization has, is to educate one at a time because we believe that education is key to success. Live Love achieves this program through sponsorship programs, afterschool programs and outdoor activities that involve teaching the word of God and creativity.

SPONSOR A CHILD

Live Love also focuses on early childhood education, we believe that every child has the right to education. Parents are encouraged to send their children to Live Love nursery schools that are currently in Chipampha and Mkanda villages. Not only do we provide education but we also provide nutritious porridge for each day, for we know that those who do not get enough energy or key nutrients cannot sustain healthy, active lives. The result is poor physical and mental development, devastating illness and death, as well as incalculable loss of human potential and social and economic development.

This program is also referred to as tutoring. Due to poverty in the communities we serve, most public primary and secondary schools are affected with unbalanced ratio between the teachers and the students therefore, learning is not effective as learners are mostly crowded in a single classroom therefore, our after-school program opens up a chance for a better learning environment. This also gives a chance to learners that struggle to have a one on one with a tutor for better understanding and support.

These are programs that are run during the school holidays, and they focus mostly on team building activities and Arts thus helping learners discover their gifts and talents as they take part in life skills. During this period we provide food for every child and it is one of the most programs that kids look forwards to every year. This is very important for our children because it protects them from unruly behaviors and focus on things that matter in their life.

Through this program, Live Love Limited focuses on growing and nurturing relationships with young people in the communities we serve. With love, dedication and passion we stand upon the word of God as we give counsel whether on career or day to day living to the young people. As most of these children live in rural areas, they lack guidance and models. Live Love gives them a platform to dream and vision of a life worth living. Our interns and other professionals offer opportunities for these children to challenge themselves and work towards a brighter future.

The program sorely focuses on teaching God’s word to children. We do this by conducting weekly programs that focuses in sharing God’s word through Bible stories, verse recitals, dance, music and games among other activities. As per the words from Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it”, we believe in investing in the lives of children while they are still young.
