HEALTHCARE

OUR CLINIC’S AIM IS TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENT MEDICAL HELP TO THE PEOPLE IN THE VILLAGES WHERE THE GOVERNMENT IS UNABLE TO REACH

Healthcare in Malawi and its limited resources are inadequate to fully address issues of medical supplies and prevention of the common diseases such as Malaria, scabies and asthma. Our clinic’s aim is to provide supplement medical help to the people in the villages where the government is unable to reach. We also reach out to the people who cannot afford private hospitals especially in Chipampha and the surrounding villages. One way we have been able to reach out to such people in through our monthly mobile clinics which sees about an average of 600 people per month. We have also engaged the community in health education as well as WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene Programs)

Out of the 15,389 people in our catchment area, 769 are children under the age of 1, and 2616 are children under the age of 5. These under-five clinics involve children’s scale check and vaccine for different infections and diseases like Polio.
Women normally have to travel long distances here in Malawi to access antenatal care which leads to most of them opting to attend less antenatal services before their child is born. Live Love clinic gives an opportunity for the women of Chipampha and the surrounding villages to access all the required antenatal visits at a closer distance for free.
People are able to access family planning services at Live Love clinic at their convenience. Family planning services at Live Love clinic comes with counseling from our clinician on the right ways to live a health life and to avoid STI’s which are common in the community that Live Love serves in.
Through the WASH project, we are able to provide safe water to Chipampha and the surrounding villages.

The project also involves awareness of hygiene practices starting with the water provided, making sure that every house hold has a toilet and washing their hand every time they use the toilet.
